Walmart Busts Joliet Woman For Stealing: JPD

It's against the law to steal, but police in Joliet keep making arrests.

JOLIET, IL - A 36-year-old Joliet woman was taken away in handcuffs by officers at the Joliet Police Department after police say she was caught stealing merchandise at the Walmart store on West Jefferson Street. Angelique Adams, of the 300 block of Stone Street, was arrested Thursday morning on charges of retail theft.

Officers were sent to the business around 11:30 a.m. because Adams was being detained by the Walmart security officers, reports show.

"Adams was observed placing items down the front of her pants and leaving the last point of sales without paying for the items. Security Officers stopped and detained Adams without incident until Joliet Officers arrived and took custody of Adams," police reports indicate.
