Walmart Cashier Steals Money, Then Becomes Violent: JPD
Dajah Hollie, age 20, was arrested by Joliet police at the Walmart on charges of theft over $500, aggravated assault and resisting arrest.

JOLIET, IL— A 20-year-old woman from Riverdale who worked at Joliet's Walmart store at 2424 W. Jefferson St. was arrested Friday by Joliet police after officers say Dajah Hollie became violent after being accused of stealing money from her cash register.
As a result of Friday's incident inside the store, Hollie has been charged with theft over $500, aggravated assault to a peace officer and resisting arrest. She has received a notice to appear in court for her three criminal charges.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events led to Hollie's arrest shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday:

- Officers responded to Walmart for an employee theft. Hollie was employed as a cashier, and it is believed that since Nov. 17, she was spotted by loss prevention stealing cash from her register over five separate instances, totaling a theft of over $500.
- Police made contact with Hollie at the store, and she was escorted to the loss prevention office. Officers attempted to place Hollie into custody, at which time she began to struggle with them. During this struggle, Hollie swung at the officers and tried to kick them, police said.
- Officers took Hollie into custody without further incident, according to English.
