I'm always getting calls inquiring about rent to own properties and what's available. If you are interested in doing something like this, the best bet going is Hyperion Homes. This company will qualify you and then send you out to look for a new home. Once the new home is found and qualified for purchase, Hyperion Homes will purchase the home, fix it up if needed, then rent it to you until you can purchase the home. The catch is that you must purchase the home within 1-5 years.
