District 204 Curriculum Director Alberto Filipponi Busted For Another DUI: Police

JOLIET, IL - One of the Joliet Township High School District 204's six-figure salaried administrators spent his weekend locked up inside the Will County Adult Detention Facility for another DUI offense. Jail logs show the Illinois State Police arrested District 204 Curriculum Director Alberto Filipponi early Sunday morning. The 39-year-old Minooka resident has been charged with a felony offense of aggravated DUI-3rd as well as two misdemeanor offenses of DUI and speeding more than 35 mph over the posted limit. Filipponi spent more than 24 hours at the downtown Joliet detention facility. He later came up with $1,000 bail, or 10 percent, of his $10,000 bond, shortly before noon Monday to get out of jail, logs reflect.

According to public salary data available on the Joliet Township High School website, Filipponi is classified as a general administrator or general supervisor, and his salary is at least $110,563 for the current year. Filipponi's fringe benefits package with Joliet Township District 204 is worth another $29,623, district data indicates. Filipponi also gets another four weeks of vacation to use during the year.

Back in 2013, Filipponi also had his mugshot taken at the Will County jail when he was arrested that May for a drunken driving offense, according to jail logs. Will County's online court records show that Filipponi pleaded guilty to the 2013 misdemeanor charge of drunken driving in 2014. He received $1,250 in fines, 240 hours of community service and was ordered to undergo alcohol treatment counseling by a judge.
