What District 204 Top Administrators Made This School Year
Here's how some of your property tax dollars are being allocated around Joliet.

JOLIET, IL — The final weeks of Cheryl McCarthy's tenure as Superintendent of Joliet Township High School District 204 are nearing and many people in the district are looking forward to the new era. Last week, Joliet Patch revealed that District 204 chooses to post outdated public salary information on the school district website to comply with an Illinois transparency law.
The most current public salary data available on the District 204 website is from the 2017-2018 school year.
Realizing the salary data on the District website remains outdated, Joliet Patch submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to District 204 in recent months seeking access to current salary data solely for top administrative officials working under McCarthy.

Patch is now making that data available to you, to help give you a better perspective on how salaries and raises are being distributed during the McCarthy superintendency.
On July 1, Mike Hanson, a school superintendent currently employed in the Black Hills of South Dakota, will be taking over District 204. The Joliet Township School Board opted to go outside Joliet rather than hire someone in the McCarthy administration as the next superintendent.
