The 16-year-old Joliet boy was gunned down Tuesday evening in the street right in front of a playground.

JOLIET, IL —The Joliet Police Department is asking for the community's help in identifying two people seen on video who are wanted for questioning in Tuesday's homicide of 16-year-old Antoine Shropshire. The teen was killed around 7:55 p.m. in the 400 block of South Joliet Street near the Warren Sharpe playground.

Joliet police said that anyone who can identify the two people depicted in surveillance photos, provide video footage or has information regarding the homicide is encouraged to contact either Joliet Patch Detective Jansma #167 at (815) 724-3028 or Detective Esqueda-Reed #186 at (815) 724-3047, or reach out to the Joliet Police Investigations Division at 815-724-3020.
