Commuter transit agency seeks to hear from riders in six-county metro area, periodically holding monthly meetings throughout service area
JOLIET, IL – The Will County Board today encouraged residents to attend Metra's monthly board meeting tomorrow in the Will County Board Room at 10 am. The commuter transit agency is reaching out to its riders in the six-county Chicago metropolitan area by occasionally holding board meetings in more accessible and convenient locations.
"Many of our residents depend on Metra to get from home to work and back on a daily basis," said Speaker Herb Brooks, Jr. "This is a great opportunity for them to give feedback directly to the decision makers in this transit organization and help improve the overall service they receive. We encourage our residents to show up, participate, and make their voices heard."
The Will County Board Room is located on the second floor of the Will County Office Building, 302 N. Chicago St. in Joliet. Tomorrow's meeting will be the second time the Metra Board has met outside of the agency’s downtown Chicago headquarters. In April, the board met in the DuPage County Board Room in Wheaton.
