Will County Coronavirus Deaths Near 300
The Will County Health Department announced seven additional deaths on Tuesday, June 9.

JOLIET, IL — The Will County Health Department announced seven more deaths from the new coronavirus Tuesday, bringing the county's number of fatalities to 296. The latest persons to die in Will County included: a man in his 60s, a woman in her 60s, a man in his 70s, a woman in her 70s, a man in his 80s, a woman in her 80s and a woman in her 90s.
Will County's total number of cases increased by 51, to 5,993 patients, the county said.
On Monday, the county health department notified Patch of four more deaths from the coronavirus. In those cases, the victims included a man in his 40s, a man in his 80s and two women in their 80s.
