Will County Fair Opens Aug. 26

The smell of cotton candy and elephant ears is in the air and that can mean only one thing: the Will County Fair is gearing up again.

The fair will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26. There is a $4 admission price at the gate and children under 10 get in free. Carnival rides begin at 4 p.m.

The fair will run through Sunday and each day brings a new theme:

  • Aug. 26 - Family Day
  • Aug. 27 - Senior Citizen’s Day and Veterans Day
  • Aug. 28 - Demolition Derby Day 1
  • Aug. 29 - Democrat Day and Demolition Derby Day 2
  • Aug. 30 - Republican Day

In addition to food and rides, there will be a tractor pull, a baby show, chili cook-off and more. For a full list of events visit the Will County Fair website. Start times for the fair vary throughout the week so make sure to check the schedule before heading out.

The fair is located at 710 S. West St. in Peotone, Illinois.
