Woman, 26, Found Dead At Fenton's Motel In Joliet

Joliet police were called to Fenton's Motel at 2305 West Jefferson Street shortly before 7 a.m. on Thursday.

JOLIET, IL — A 26-year-old woman was found dead on Thursday morning at Fenton's Motel on Joliet's West Jefferson Street, Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced.

Police learned the woman was unresponsive at 6:52 a.m. Fenton's Motel is at 2305 W. Jefferson St. Joliet police and paramedics from the Joliet Fire Department found the woman in one of the guest rooms.

"Despite attempted life-saving measures, it appeared that the female had passed away," English notified Joliet Patch, adding that the case remains under investigation.

The Will County Coroner’s staff was called to the scene to pronounce the woman dead. Identification of the victim and cause of death will be determined by the Will County Coroner’s Office, English said.

Joliet Patch asked English if the woman's death was being investigated as a possible drug overdose.

"I’m unable to speculate on cause of death at this point," English replied.
