Joliet police were called to the Marathon gas station and that's where officers learned that Murray and a woman were inside a vehicle in the Sam’s parking lot across the street when the domestic trouble began.

Murray grew angry and began punching the victim in the face multiple times. Murray also choked the victim. The victim then drove to the gas station to call 911. Murray was placed into custody without incident, English noted.
