Woman, 55, Dies After Essington Road Crash With Teen Driver

Sunday night's T-bone crash happened at Essington Road and Executive Drive on Joliet's west side.

JOLIET, IL — The 55-year-old woman who died following Sunday night's T-bone crash on Essington Road and Executive Drive has been identified by the Will County Coroner's Office as Maryann C. Dickey, a Joliet resident.

Sunday's car crash happened at 9:34 p.m., prompting Joliet fire stations 7 and 8 to respond. Dickey's car sustained heavy damage to the driver's side door. When firefighter/paramedics extricated her from her vehicle, she was without a pulse and not breathing, Fire Chief Greg Blaskey said.

Dickey was transported to Ascension St. Joseph hospital, and she later died. The driver of the second vehicle, a 16-year-old girl, suffered no injuries, the fire chief said.
