Campbell Street Shooting: Woman Shot In Her Living Room

JOLIET, IL — A 40-year-old Joliet woman remains hospitalized after being shot in the shoulder as she was sitting in her living room in the 500 block of Campbell Street on Monday night, according to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English. Joliet Fire Chief Greg Blaskey said that ambulance crews from Station 5 were called to the house to treat the shooting victim around 8:50 p.m.
The woman's gunshot wound left her hospitalized at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center where she remains in fair condition, the chief said.
Joliet police said that Monday night's gunfire began outside the house on Campbell Street and the woman's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
