The woman was hit with a Taser and eventually subdued, police said.

A woman knocked down a cop who was breaking up her fight with another resident of a Joliet group home, police said.

Sarah Babin, 25, was charged with the aggravated battery of a police officer, resisting a police officer and domestic battery in connection with the alleged dustup at her Gage Court group home.

Police were sent to the group home about 8:30 p.m. Thursday to investigate a report of two women fighting. One of the women was in the driveway of the residence when the officers arrived and reportedly told them she and Babin were “discussing personal issues” when tempers flared and she got punched in the face.

Babin then emerged from the house and tried to get at the other woman, police said. She allegedly pushed one of the two officers down during the attempt.

An officer hit Babin with a Taser but she still would not submit to putting her hands behind her back so she could be handcuffed, police said. She was eventually subdued, arrested and taken to the Will County jail.
