$15K Stolen From Car At La Grange Hospital: Cops
The cash was taken after someone broke a window of a locked car, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – In recent days, La Grange police handled cases involving theft, porch piracy, fraud, retail theft and identity theft. Here is information from the latest La Grange police reports:
Theft
- A man who had withdrawn $15,000 in cash from a bank left it in his locked car in the parking lot at the La Grange hospital, 5101 Willow Springs Road. Someone broke a car window and stole the cash. An investigation continues. Patch has filed a public records request for the full report.
- An unlocked bicycle was reported stolen Aug. 1 outside La Grange Public Library, 10 W. Cossitt Ave.
- A car pulled up in the alley behind DMJ Automotive, 603 S. La Grange Road. A person was then seen on surveillance footage removing a pickup truck tailgate from a parked truck. The incident was reported Aug. 9. An investigation continues.

- Packages valued at more than $250 were reported stolen from a front porch Aug. 7 in the 400 block of Seventh Avenue.
Fraud
- Lucca's Pizzeria, 108 W. Burlington Ave., delivered two orders to a house Aug. 7. The orders were paid for with a credit card. The credit card company then notified the business that the recipients had canceled the charges. The business is out $400.
Retail theft

- A suspect stole $36 worth of beer from 7-Eleven, 6 E. 47th St. The incident was reported Aug. 11. An investigation continues.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 500 block of South Ashland Avenue told police she was the victim of identity theft. AT&T notified her that her account was overdue. She has no account with the company.
