Aging Care Connections Memory Cafes
Aging Care Connections offers FREE Memory Café program and field trips for older adults and caregivers at four locations.
The Memory Café is a casual time for individuals with memory loss and their caregivers to enjoy food, socialization, and activities in a supportive and fun environment. The free nine-month program includes a light lunch and activities such as dance, exercise, pet therapy, water color painting, laughter yoga, the Acappella Fellas, and fieldtrips. This year's trips will venture to Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrance, The Morton Arboretum, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the Memory Farm in Elburn. There is also no cost for the field trip admissions and transportation from Aging Care Connections 111 W. Harris La Grange is included, however advanced registration is required. There are four Café locations, Young At Heart Adult Day Services Center, Countryside, Salerno's Pizzeria and Sports Bar, Hodgkins, Sharp Community Center, Melrose Park, Central Baptist Village, Norridge.
