La GRANGE, IL – A driving school with locations in La Grange and Hinsdale closed unexpectedly, the state informed the company's customers last month.
A Responsible Driver Driving School was owned by Bryan Kearney, a Willowbrook resident.
In a May 13 email to customers, the Secretary of State's office said all licensed driving schools are required to carry a surety bond as a way to reimburse students in the event of closure.
All bond information is handled directly with the bond company itself, not through the Secretary of State, according to the email.
Responsible Driver's website is down, and its phone number is out of service.
The Secretary of State's office said it was trying to get more information in response to Patch's inquiry.
