2026 Annual D105 Foundation Back to School Event

On Friday, August 28, the District 105 Foundation held its annual Back to School event at Gurrie Middle School. Families came together from across the district to enjoy a meal, face painting, balloon animals, a movie along with popcorn, and split the pot raffles.

The weather was perfect for the event and we welcomed families from across the district to celebrate the beginning of another school year.

Funds raised from the D105 Foundation Back to School event go towards providing college scholarships to D105 alumni who are graduating from Lyons Township High School.

Since its founding in 2013, the D105 Foundation has existed to:

• Empower students to pursue their interests, talents and dreams.
• Strengthen family and community relationships.
• Provide college / higher education scholarships to District 105 alumni graduating from Lyons Township High School and since 2014, has awarded over 40 scholarships to amazing LTHS graduates.

Each year the Foundation provides scholarships and a variety of activities that bring our families and communities together.
