LA GRANGE PARK, IL – Antisemitic flyers were distributed over the weekend in La Grange Park and Elmhurst, authorities said.

La Grange Park police said the flyers were not threatening in nature, but political. They appear to be from an antisemitic social media group, police said.

According to a news release, La Grange Park police said residents west of La Grange Road reported finding flyers in plastic bags on the sidewalks in front of their houses. They were distributed overnight Friday.

The police can enforce the distribution of the flyers in relation to littering laws. But they cannot prosecute anyone related to the flyer's message because of the First Amendment, which guarantees free speech.

On Saturday, an Elmhurst resident emailed Patch and an alderman copies of the flyer sent to her house.

The flyer identified Jewish members of President Joe Biden's administration and stated, "End the Zionist occupations."

The document refers to a website that the Anti-Defamation League calls the work of a "loose network of individuals connected by their virulent antisemitism."

La Grange Park is the hometown of nationally known racist and antisemite Nicholas Fuentes, who dined with President Donald Trump last year. As of a couple of months ago, Fuentes was still registered to vote in La Grange Park.
