Architectural Scavenger Hunt this weekend
The Chicago Architecture Foundation is hosting its 2nd annual scavenger hunt this Saturday.
Saturday, May 9, the Chicago Architecture Foundation is hosting its 2nd annual Scavenger Hunt. This is a great event for individuals interested in learning more about Chicago’s internationally-renowned architecture in a fun and entertaining way.
The Scavenger Hunt teams are broken into two categories. Families can take part in a one hour, noncompetitive hunt that starts any time between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. This shortened hunt is perfect for families with younger kids who still want to get out and have fun. Kids receive a workbook with clues. Once the all the questions are answered, families can register to win a prize package.
The main Scavenger Hunt takes teams on a journey throughout the Loop as they use clues to find different locations. These teams start in flights at 1:00 p.m. 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m.. 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Registration includes a t-shirt and Divvy bike pass. Teams who complete the hunt will be registered to win an “Open House Chicago 2015” prize package.

What’s great about the Scavenger Hunt is that it takes participants into some of Chicago’s most famous buildings, with behind-the-scenes opportunities in select locations. The game, which drew more than 350 participants last year, is fun for everyone from beginners to experts.
All activities start and end at Buckingham Fountain. To register, visit www.architecture.org/ScavengerHunt.
