Attempted Murder Charge In La Grange: Cops

The suspect struck a victim several times with a car, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – A suspect has been arrested on charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery in an incident last month near a La Grange church, police said.

In a statement Monday, police said they responded to an incident about 12:30 p.m. June 22 in the 100 block of North Spring Avenue, near St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

The suspect, 43-year-old Lelu Reiter of Chicago Ridge, struck the victim multiple times with a car after a confrontation, police said.

An investigation followed, with officers finding the suspect, police said.
