The cost of the workshop is $225 for La Grange Art League members and $260 for non-members. Those interested in joining would pay $45 as an artist member, or $35 as associate member, said Nancy A. Miller, an art league member. Registration is available by calling the league at (708) 352-3101 or downloading a registration form on its Web site, www.lagrangeartleague.org. The Web site also lists what supplies a workshop attendee should bring.
Those attending will learn or review drawing and compositional principles to improve their paintings and apply that information using watercolors as their primary medium, according to the league. The primary subject will be still lifes. New concepts and approaches will be presented each day. Experienced beginners through advanced artists are welcome.
