Panhandler At La Grange Store Prompts Police Call: Cops

Police said the woman was causing a disturbance. She was given a no-trespass notice.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports.

  • A woman was issued a no-trespass notice after causing a disturbance while panhandling about 1 p.m. Sunday at Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road. She was told she would be arrested if she re-entered the property.
  • Two men stole a large amount of cosmetics in bags and fled the area toward the train depot about 4 p.m. Sunday at Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road. Officers checked the area, but could not find the men. The total loss is undetermined.
  • A Costco credit card and $210 to $230 in cash were stolen from a patient's pants pocket between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday at the La Grange hospital, 5101 Willow Springs Road.
  • Great Clips, 1 N. La Grange Road, told police that when employees opened the cash register Thursday morning, it was empty. A total of $300 was missing. Police saw no signs of forced entry.
