2013 Girls Softball Registration Ongoing Through the Community Park District

2013 Girls' Softball Leagues are available for registration for girls in grades 2-10 at the Community Park District of La Grange Park.

With spring right around the corner, the itch for softball is making its way to the Community Park District of La Grange Park. Known for its success with a league that has been around for more than 40 years, the Community Park District is excited to have a new season start with rookie and veteran faces.

The Girls’ Softball Program is set divided into three separate leagues to accommodate for girls in grades 2 – 10. They are Minor League, Junior League, and introduced last year, the Ponytail League. All registered girls will be placed on a team, regardless of skill level, and have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of softball through practices and games.

The Minor League division is for the younger girls in grades 2 – 3, and does not have a skill evaluation. Teams will be evenly split between both grade levels. Games will be played at Stone-Monroe Park, Hanesworth Park or Robinhood Park on Monday through Thursday evenings. Early bird registration for this league ends on March 30. Cost from now until March 30 is $55 for Residents, $65 for Non-Residents. After March 30, cost is $65 for Residents, $75 for Non-Residents.
