Beyond the Single Family Home

The thought of living in anything but a traditional single family home is inconceivable to some.

Not so much today. More and more people are finding the freedom of a townhome and its similarity to a single family home to be the perfect fit for their active lifestyle.

Why?

For one thing — outdoor maintenance.  Not everyone enjoys puttering in the garden, or the task of mowing the lawn and battling weeds.

With a townhome, the outdoor grounds are often maintained by the homeowner’s association.  All of the enjoyment, but none of the work. Will you really miss shoveling the driveway?

Or maybe you like to travel.  Frequent travelers enjoy the ease of locking the door and taking off on dream vacations at the drop of a hat.

The close proximity of townhome units and the shared walls between units create a more secure neighborhood.  Neighbors are likely to notice unusual persons on the property and hear suspicious noises.

Many townhome communities offer other amenities, such as community gardens, parks and close proximity to shopping.

Thinking about moving from your single family home, but a condo is just too drastic of a change?  Then maybe a townhome is the better option for you.
