Brookfield Stabbing Suspect At Large: Cops

The suspect ran away and is believed to be unarmed, police said.

BROOKFIELD, IL – A stabbing took place Monday afternoon near the 4400 block of Madison Avenue in Brookfield, police said.

The weapon was left at the site of the stabbing, Brookfield police said. The suspect ran away and is believed to be unarmed.

The suspect was described as an African American female, about 25, having a small build, and wearing a black hoodie and jeans.

Area schools were on lockdown for a time, police said.
