Brookfield Zoo Damaged In Storm

Many trees fell in the storm, but the animals apparently survived unscathed.

BROOKFIELD, IL – Brookfield Zoo delayed its opening until 1 p.m. Tuesday to allow the grounds crew to clean up after the zoo sustained extensive damage in Monday's storm.

Dozens of downed trees blocked pathways, but the animals were apparently unscathed.

The zoo released a number of photos of the damage.
