Business Pulls Request For La Grange Tax Break

The company has been planning to move to La Grange from Burr Ridge.

LA GRANGE, IL – A business seeking a property tax break from La Grange has withdrawn its request.

Burr Ridge-based Theatrical Lighting Connection was planning to move its operation to 9600 W. Ogden Ave. in La Grange, according to its tax break application.

The village posted the business' application on its website Thursday afternoon. But at Monday's Village Board meeting, Village President Mark Kuchler said the request had been pulled at Theatrical Lighting's request.

In an email to Patch on Tuesday, Village Manager Andrianna Peterson said it was her understanding that the company withdrew because it decided against pursuing the property at this time.

Patch left a message for comment with William Nolan, president of Theatrical Lighting.

Theatrical Lighting hoped to get an incentive that would have meant a $76,000 reduction in its annual property tax bill. The benefit would have lasted for more than a decade.
