Join Pillars Community Health for a virtual professional learning opportunity focused on the intersection of disability and domestic violence.
This presentation will help service providers better understand how disability can increase vulnerability to abuse, recognize barriers survivors with disabilities may face when seeking support, and explore strategies for providing accessible, trauma-informed, survivor-centered services.
This free virtual presentation is open to service providers, social workers, nurses, advocates, behavioral health professionals, students, PCH staff, and community members interested in learning more.

First Presbyterian Church of La Grange is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, October 27, in Westminster Hall (enter through the Catherine Ave. side door). <a href="https://donateblood.versiti.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/11648090" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Use this link to schedule your appointment.</a> There will be space for walk-in donors as well.<a href="https://donateblood.versiti.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/11648090" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">

The donation process is segmented into five parts: registration, questionnaire, mini physical, blood collection and refreshments. The process for whole blood donation usually takes about one hour. The blood collection itself takes about 10 minutes. You will receive a Halloween T-shirt as a thank-you for helping to save lives!

Pillars Community Health invites survivors, community members, and local partners to gather for an afternoon of connection, awareness, resources, and support in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Take Back the Night creates space to connect with local organizations, learn about resources available in our community, and come together in support of survivors of domestic violence.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees can meet community partners, explore resources, and learn more about services available to survivors and families.
