Car Burglarized In La Grange Neighborhood: Cops

In another case, a local man faces three counts of violating an order of protection, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports:

Car burglary

  • Someone burglarized an unlocked car overnight Sunday in the 300 block of East Calendar Avenue. Keys were stolen. There were no cameras in the area.

  • A 34-year-old person who lives in the 10 block of West Burlington Avenue in La Grange was arrested Tuesday on three counts of violating an order of protection. The violations were Dec. 14, Jan. 19 and Jan. 31. The person was arrested in Bellwood.

Identity theft

  • Someone used an out-of-state identification to obtain money from the bank account of a resident in the 900 block of Ninth Avenue. The bank will reimburse the money. The case was closed because of the low chance it would be solved. The crime was reported Monday.

DUI

  • A 47-year-old Bellwood man was arrested about 11 p.m. Feb. 9 at Sixth Street and Maple Avenue on charges of DUI, no headlights and improper lane use.
