A driveway gate remote was stolen from an unlocked car, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports:

Car burglary

  • A driveway gate remote was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the street Oct. 14 in the 10 block of South La Grange Road. Nothing else was stolen.

Theft

  • A real estate sign was stolen between Sept. 27 and Sept. 30 in the 300 block of South Gilbert Avenue. The sign was valued at $100.
  • A package containing parts for a tool bench was stolen Tuesday from the end of a driveway in the 800 block of South Waiola Avenue. The items were valued at $170.

Vandalism

  • Graffiti was reported Oct. 14 on one pillar of the Ogden Avenue bridge at Burlington Avenue.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 900 block of Eighth Avenue told police Wednesday that someone transferred $980 from the resident's Zelle account to other accounts. Another $150 transfer was pending, but it is unlikely to go through because it was reported to the bank.
