Chief Thomas Weitzel (Ret.) to be on WBBM Radio “At Issue” Roundtable on “No Cash Bail”
CHICAGO, IL — Former Riverside Police Chief Tom Weitzel will be a guest on WBBM News Radio's 780 AM "At Issue" program that will air on August 14, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. and again at 9:30 p.m.
Chief Weitzel (Ret.) has been invited as a guest to review and discuss his views on the SAFE-T Act, which will be fully in effect in January of 2023. The program will have a main focus on the full implementation of the “No Cash Bail” provision of the SAFE-T Act.

Chief Weitzel will be joined on the program by Chief James Kruger, East Dundee Police Chief and former Oak Brook Police Chief, and Chief Steven Husak, Lake Zurich Police Chief.
Weitzel has been opposed to many of the issues that are being characterized as reform that he feels are really nothing more than dismantling the criminal justice system for political ideology.
