Citizens' Council of La Grange to host a “Candidates Forum” March 15th

CCLG has scheduled a forum to give all candidates for the boards of La Grange the opportunity to present their points of view.

The Citizens’ Council of La Grange will be hosting a “Candidates Forum” at the La Grange Village Hall on March 15th at 7PM. The forum is an event hosted and moderated by the Citizens’ Council to give the
residents of La Grange an opportunity to meet the candidates running for office in the April 4th election.
The Forum is open to all candidates, not just those slated by the Council. This event gives attendees a
chance to hear the candidates as they answer important question regarding the village. Questions will
come from Council members but can also be submitted by non-members prior to the event. An
invitation has been extended to all the candidates running for Village, Park and Library offices.

You are welcome to submit your questions for the candidates at lgcitizenscouncil@gmail.com. The
event is free and open to the Public and all are encouraged to come out to listen and learn about
important topics currently in front of our village.

“The Council strives to provide maximum citizen participation to represent a cross-section of the Village
as a whole. The goal is to continue the long tradition of a cohesive community that works together
creating a vibrant quality of life for its residents."

The CCLG was founded and exists as a non-partisan body of interested citizens who desire to encourage
the best possible government for La Grange (Village Trustees, Library Trustees and Park Commissioners).
For the past 76 years, a majority of candidates seeking elected village office have come before the CCLG
seeking to be slated (endorsed) by our membership. The CCLG encourages the citizens of La Grange get
involved and to have a say in the character of their village and the services they receive, and is currently
welcoming new members. La Grange residents are encouraged to consider running or recommending a
fellow resident to run for the village, park or library boards.

If you are interested in learning more, please join the monthly meetings every second Wednesday of the
month from September through May, 7:30 p.m., at the Village Hall.
