Countryside Restaurant Closed After Fire
A number of fire departments responded to the blaze on Joliet Road.

COUNTRYSIDE, IL – A fire on Tuesday afternoon damaged Rolling Lanes bowling alley in Countryside.
Pleasantview Fire District and other fire departments responded to the fire at 6301 Joliet Road.
A person answering the phone Wednesday at the bowling alley said its restaurant was closed for the time being as a result.

In an interview Thursday, Pleasantview Fire Chief Steve Norvilas said the fire was contained to the hood duct system. No one was injured. The cause has not been determined, he said.
The restaurant remains closed, pending a review by the building department, Norvilas said.

Rolling Lanes is one of the few bowling alleys in the area, serving customers in La Grange, Western Springs, Burr Ridge and other towns.
According to its website, Rolling Lanes is a family-owned business that opened in 1994.
