Countryside Woman Hurts La Grange Nurse: Cops

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:

Aggravated battery

• Patricia Claghorn, 60, of Countryside, was arrested about 3 p.m. April 16 at the La Grange hospital, 5100 Willow Springs Road, on charges of aggravated battery of a nurse involving great bodily harm and aggravated battery of a nurse involving a minor injury.

Bicycle theft

• An unlocked bicycle was reported stolen about 5 p.m. April 21 near McDonald's, 100 N. La Grange Road.

Theft of plants

• A witness saw someone steal five freshly potted plants Tuesday from the side of an office building at 1022 S. La Grange Road. When the witness yelled at the suspect, the suspect took off running with the plants and got into a van. The plants were valued at $200.

Government agent scam

• A resident in the 700 block of South 12th Avenue told police Wednesday that a person posed as a U.S. Customs agent and warned that a warrant was out for the resident's arrest.
