Customer Tried To Scam La Grange Restaurant Again: Cops

In another case, an employee of a local business was harassed by an acquaintance, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports:

Scam

  • The owner of Blueberry Hill Breakfast Cafe, 49 S. La Grange Road, recognized a customer who accused the business of giving him the wrong amount of change when he paid his bill previously. The customer tried the same thing Tuesday and then left.

Disorderly conduct

  • An employee in the business complex at 130 N. La Grange Road told police Tuesday that an acquaintance showed up at her workplace and harassed her.

Theft

  • Two employees at AdventHealth La Grange Family Medicine Center, 1325 Memorial Drive, told police that their unattended personal belongings were stolen while they were at work. The report was made about 6 p.m. Tuesday.

DUI

  • Christopher R. Barnes, 35, of Bellwood, was arrested May 14 in the 10 block of East 47th Street on charges of DUI and resisting a police officer.

Suspended licenses

  • Annetta J. Mitchell, 51, of Harvey, was cited May 13 on West Ogden Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and disobeying a traffic control device.
  • Tycee E. Bays, 37, of Forest Park, was cited May 12 on North La Grange Road on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving in the wrong lane and disobeying a traffic control device.

Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and people charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
