Defending the Caveman comes to the Copley Theatre
Broadway's history-making Battle of the Caveman comes to Aurora for a hilarious look at how men and women communicate.
When Rob Becker created Defending the Caveman, no one quite knew how to explain it. Described as “one part stand-up, one part lecture, and one part therapy session all mixed together that covers how the sexes communicate, how they bond, how they fight, how they love and more” Defending the Caveman is a show that brings both men and women to tears -- tears of laughter.
We saw the show many years ago with some friends. Throughout the audience people laughed, gasped, cried and giggled. There was a definite split between what men found funny and what women found funny. By the end both sexes laughed at familiar scenes that seems quite different up on stage.
In this edition, comedian Ben Tedder brings the caveman to life. A Chicago-based actor, Tedder is a member of the local cast of the Off-Broadway hit, The Awesome 80s Prom. He joins a fraternity of the 50 actors in 45 different countries performing Defending the Caveman.

Defending the Caveman comes to the Copley Theatre for a limited run from Mach 13 - 29. The Copley Theatre is a small, 216-seat, arts center. The intimate seating brings the audience closer to the stage so every facial expression and movement adds to the experience.
