Diseased Coyote Seen In La Grange Park: Police
A trapper has been hired to catch the animal, authorities said.
LA GRANGE PARK, IL – A coyote with mange is roaming around the west and central parts of La Grange Park, police said Friday.
Mange is a skin disease in mammals that can occasionally be communicable to people.
La Grange police said they are working with Kane Area Rehabilitation and Education for Wildlife to capture and treat the animal. A professional trapper has been hired and is actively working to catch the coyote, police said.

Residents are asked to not leave out food or water for the animal and not disturb any traps set. Such actions are hindering efforts to trap and treat the animal, police said.
