LA GRANGE, IL – An "active shooter" training is planned for Tuesday at St. Cletus Catholic School, 700 W. 55th St., police announced late last week.

The training is scheduled during the school's spring break. It involves the La Grange Police Department and other area agencies.

Residents may see an increased presence of police, fire and emergency vehicles in the training area.

"Please avoid the immediate training area if possible," police said in a Facebook post. "Do not call 911 to report the activity unless you are experiencing an actual emergency. Help us spread the word so residents understand this is a planned training exercise."
