Downtown La Grange Escape Room Business Wants To Expand

LA GRANGE, IL – Nearly a decade after its opening, Just Escape Room in downtown La Grange wants to go bigger.

Just Escape, 512 W. Burlington Ave., is seeking a permit to expand into the neighboring unit, increasing its size by 50 percent.

In 2017, the village approved the original permit for Just Escape. The business was prohibited from having any music or sound effects that could be heard outside the building.

An escape room is a game where a team finds clues and solves puzzles to break out within a set period.

The village said Just Escape has not had any code enforcement or noise complaints since opening.

The La Grange Plan Commission plans to review Just Escape's request at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Village Hall.
