Duckworth to Speak at Congregation Etz Chaim

On Friday August 29th at 8:15 pm, Congregation Etz Chaim of Du Page County will welcome U. S. Representative Tammy Duckworth as the special guest speaker for its “Social Action Shabbat” service. Representative Duckworth will speak about her life and her ideas on the issues the country faces. The service will be held in the sanctuary of the synagogue at 1710 S. Highland Avenue, Lombard. All are welcome to attend.

Completing her first term in the 113th Congress, Tammy Duckworth represents the 8th District. A member of the House Armed Services Committee and the House Oversight and Government Relations Committee, she is an Iraq War Veteran and a Lieutenant Colonel in the Illinois Army National Guard.

Before the service, Representative Duckworth will meet congregants in the lobby of the synagogue beginning at 7:45 pm.
