DUI, Theft From Parkway: La Grange Cops

A man stopped for speeding was arrested on a DUI charge, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is the information from the reports:

DUI

  • Benjamin Breceda, 31, of Chicago, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Nov. 4 at Ogden Avenue and Beacon Place on charges of DUI and speeding.

Theft

  • A pallet holding six 6-foot aluminum railings was stolen between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Nov. 11 from the parkway in the 500 block of Ninth Avenue. They were worth $1,800.

Damage

  • A building was reported egged Sunday in the 10 block of West Harris Avenue. There was no permanent damage.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 300 block of Ninth Avenue told police Monday that a Comcast account was opened in the resident's name without permission. The resident reported no financial loss, only a bad credit inquiry.

No valid driver's license

  • Johnathon Coss, 18, of La Grange, was cited about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at Cossitt Avenue and La Grange Road on charges of having no valid driver's license, driving with one headlight and driving an uninsured car.
