Earth Day School Field Trips

In celebration of Earth Day, 160 elementary school children came to The Well Spirituality Center in La Grange Park and left a bit wiser, more aware and ready for action. Through hands on, multi-sensory activities the participants learned about the interconnectedness and sacredness of all creation, explored the woods through a guided nature walk, and acquired an understanding of the beings who are suffering. After a fun-filled, action packed day, each student made a personal promise for action and left the field trip empowered as leaders to make a difference for our planet. This year’s field trips were attended by students from St. Luke (River Forest), St.Cyril and Methodius (Lemont), St. Cyprian (River Grove), St. Francis Borgia (Chicago).
