About Nicksons Eatery
Nicksons Eatery is an exciting new restaurant in the heart of downtown La Grange created by partners Nick Baca, his wife Carson Baca, and his brother Rich Baca. With a rich sense of American pride, the team is pleased to make their mark on the La Grange food culture, delivering compelling regional American fare with big bold flavors.
This new restaurant concept is strongly influenced by the rich character of downtown La Grange. Literally translated, "La Grange" is French for “the barn” and every aspect of the concept–the food, the inviting atmosphere, and the charming space–are meant to reflect the warmth and abundance of rural culture: tin ceilings, rustic hardwood floors, raw wood accents, and family style seating give a timeless feeling and a familiarity that aptly sets the mood for the meal.
Always mindful of the seasons, Nicksons robust and flavorful dishes are inspired by regional specialties from across the US. The current menu features Southern flavors like Texas Beef Brisket Grilled Cheese, Savannah Fried Green Tomatoes, and the Miami Cuban sandwich. Current Northeast offerings include Bay of Fundy Sea Scallops and the Maine Shrimp Roll. The Midwest comes through full and strong in our bold beef and pork dishes including our Sourdough Crusted Pork Chop, Dietzler Farm Dry-aged Burger (Elkhorn, WI), and the Braised Beef Short Ribs. From the West, adventure into our Colorado Elk Burger with peppercorn crust, served with white cheddar, a fried egg, roasted garlic aioli and lettuce served with chili spiced fries. The soft and delicate flavors of the Pacific Northwest, Oregon Rockfish captivate the palate. Other current featured regional items include ripe avocados which add the perfect touch to the Casa Chicken Club.
Nicksons doesn't stop with savory. We recommend you save room and end your meal on a sweet note with one of our delicious desserts, such as our Homemade Key Lime Pie, or maybe our Best Chocolate Chip Cookie in a bowl served with ice cream, or take a trip down memory lane with a nostalgic Rootbeer Float served in a frosty mug, the perfect end to a perfect meal!
