West Suburban Concert Band Spring Concert

The West Suburban Concert Band inaugurates its 54th concert season with its Spring Concert on April 16, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Gurrie Middle School, 1001 S. Spring, LaGrange, Illinois.  Selections include "Suite of Old American Dances" by Robert Russell Bennett, "Three Dances from Henry VIII" by Sir Edward German, "Light Cavalry Overture" by Franz von Suppe, musical highlights from "The Lion King", and a medley of latin dances entitled "Fiesta Tropicale."  March aficiandos will be treated to the old class "Hostrauser's March", Karl King's colorful "The Melody Shop" and the elegant "Knightsbridge March" from Great Britain.  Admission is free.
