Excessive Speeding In La Grange: Cops

A man faces a misdemeanor charge because he went so fast, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released its latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports:

Excessive speeding

  • Sebastian Perez, 19, of Westchester, was cited about 7 p.m. Monday at La Grange and Harris avenues on a misdemeanor charge of speeding. Police said he was speeding 71 mph in a 25 mph zone.

Theft

  • Earrings were stolen on July 14 or July 15 at the La Grange hospital, 5101 Willow Springs Road.
  • A person told police Saturday that someone stole the person's driver's license, credit card and $600 in cash at the La Grange hospital, 5101 Willow Springs Road. The person later noticed a fraudulent $250 charge at Target.

Damage

  • A driver's side mirror and its electrical components were damaged between 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. Monday in the 5400 block of South Spring Avenue.
  • Someone made several slices to a park district tent and its canvas ties last weekend at Denning Park in the 4900 block of Willow Springs Road.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 1200 block of Birks Court told police Tuesday that someone attempted to open a credit card account in the resident's name.
