Fire Damages La Grange Park House; No One Injured
The fire department said it quickly put out the main body of the fire.

LA GRANGE PARK, IL – A fire damaged a house early Thursday evening in La Grange Park, with one person escaping before firefighters arrived, the fire department said.
About 5:30 p.m., La Grange Park firefighters were called to 1034 Barnsdale Road, according to a news release.
Fire could be seen on the side of the house, including a second-floor deck structure and an exterior wall, the department said.

Firefighters quickly put out the main body of the fire, but they had to open walls, the second-floor ceiling and the roof to finish the job, the news release said.
No one was reported as injured.

The fire department said it was investigating the cause of the fire, with damage estimated at $50,000.
The department was helped by firefighters from La Grange, Brookfield, Western Springs, Riverside and Westmont.
The Hillside, Lyons and Riverside departments covered the La Grange Park stations during the fire.
