Friendly Skeletons Soon to Depart La Grange

Over 50 of the boney visitors explore the Village through Thursday.

There's only a few more days left to enjoy the friendly, life-sized skeletons visiting La Grange during Skeletober, a month-long seasonal celebration designed to draw attention to local businesses.

This is the fourth year that the La Grange Business Association is organizing the display of boney visitors near businesses and attractions as a way to entice visitors to explore La Grange. Over 50 businesses are participating and feature skeletons singing in a choir, riding a bike, relaxing with a new baby, playing a keyboard, working out on exercise equipment and more.

Through October 31, people can enter random drawings to win gifts from local businesses by taking pictures with the engaging skeletons and posting the photos on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, tagging the La Grange Business Association and using the hashtag #skeletober.
A map indicating the location of each skeleton is available at participating businesses or online at lagrangeevents.com.

The month-long promotion is sponsored by a local real estate business, the Jasinski Home Team at Baird & Warner, and is held with the support of the Village of La Grange.

"La Grange is a great place to put down roots, and the skeletons help emphasize how lively this community really is," said Steve Jasinski. "It's a village that feels like home."
