Get in the Patriotic Spirit a Little Early

It’s summer and that means picnics, baseball and relaxing while listening to live music. La Grange Park has put together a great concert series for their 2011 Music Under the Stars program at Memorial Park, located at Woodlawn Avenue and La Grange Road.

On Wednesday, June 29, the West Suburban Concert Band will be performing Patriotic Music from 7:30-9 p.m. at Memorial Park. With Fourth of July less than a week away, it’s time to get into the spirit and celebrate with some great music.

The West Suburban Concert Band is a non-profit band comprised of musicians from the area and is based out of La Grange. The band is made up of residents of varying experience, whose ages range from late teens through late 90s.

Grab your blanket and head over to Memorial Park Wednesday night and enjoy the sounds of the local band. Who knows, maybe one of your neighbors will be playing.

In the case it rains, not to worry, the rain site is Park Junior High School, 333 N. Park Ave.
