Great Clips Opens in Old Borders Building

Residents have another option for haircuts and salon services now that Great Clips has opened in La Grange. 

The shop opened Wednesday, March 13, on the first floor of the building that once housed Borders Books at La Grange Road and Hillgrove Avenue. The address is 1 N. La Grange Road.

It joins Smashburger and ATI Physical Therapy in the older Borders building, which has been divided into multiple storefronts. 

Branch manager Nicole Tierney said Great Clips is happy to be in La Grange and looks forward to being part of the other businesses moving into the building. 

"When you come here you know you're going to leave with your great haircut," she said, emphasizing the ability to individualize styles. The mother of one boy leaving after a haircut asked the best way to grow it a bit shaggier, and Tierney showed her knowledge by sharing advice. 

The store celebrated its grand opening last week and is offering a $5.99 haircut special through April 12. 

Call 708-579-2170 to make an appointment. The store is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
